Since I turned 16, I’ve always juggled two jobs at once. Even after graduating from college, I dove straight into a full-time corporate 9–5 while holding a part-time job in the evenings and on weekends. I was always on the move, always working, and relentlessly pushing myself to achieve more.
But eventually, that pace caught up with me.
What began as stress soon evolved into something more serious. Juggling two jobs and managing multiple responsibilities within my full-time role led to severe physical and mental burnout. My health declined, I felt overwhelmed, and I was running on empty.
By January of this year, I knew something had to change.
Around that time, a conversation with a friend about real estate sparked something in me. It excited me in a way my current path never had.
Within a month, I took a leap that surprised even me: I quit my corporate job to pursue real estate full-time. I had no set plan—just a commitment to figure it out as I went.
It was one of the most uncertain decisions I’ve ever made, but staying on my old path felt even scarier.
My biggest fear? Money.
My husband and I had spent years saving, hoping to buy a home in 2026. Instead, we made the difficult decision to use those savings to replace my income while I built my business. Watching our account balance drop each month without immediate returns was terrifying. There were plenty of moments of doubt that could have made me turn back.
But with faith, hard work, and trust in the process, we kept moving forward. We truly believed God had a plan for us, and that belief carried us through the uncertainty.
What happened next has completely changed my life.
Within two months, I became a licensed realtor. Soon after, I purchased a house to fix and flip without using any of my own money. That project is on track to finish soon, and I’ll make more than double my previous annual corporate salary. I also celebrated selling my first house for $30,000 over asking. And I’m just getting started.
The biggest difference between my life then and now isn’t just financial—though I am making exponentially more. I finally have my time, energy, and health back.
Physically and mentally, I’m thriving in ways I never thought possible. I no longer wake up trapped in a cycle that drains me; I’m excited, motivated, and in control of my future.
I’ve learned that you often risk more by staying in a life that’s wearing you down than by trying—and failing—at something new.
Taking that leap didn’t guarantee success, but it gave me something even more valuable: the chance to change everything. And once I did, I realized I was far more capable than I ever gave myself credit for.
